Skills, methods, competencies and abilities

As an information architect, usability researcher and experience modeller, I've acquired a wide range of different skills and tools during my varied working life, and found that some skills transfer to new roles and challenges better than others.

Communicating clearly in words and pictures has always been central to everything I do, and much of what I've learned involves the nuances of doing this well and appropriately for different audiences at different times.
