As an information architect, usability researcher and experience modeller, the ability to communicate complex propositions quickly and effectively - in both words and pictures - has always been central to everything I do.
Much of what I've learned throughout my career involves the nuances of doing this well and appropriately for different audiences at different times.
To do this I have developed, nurtured and acquired a pool of quite specific talents, including particular industry-specific skills in using particular kinds of tools and techniques, combined with knowledge of appropriate and relevant principles.
I don't claim to be an expert because I haven't finished learning yet.
But that's how it should be isn't it?
