Another client engagement for those lovely people over at Flow Interactive, this time for a small business startup called SmithBayes.
SmithBayes are in the process of bringing a fascinating, complex and unique software offering to the market: an enterprise-class application for helping senior executives with business strategy prediction.
After porting their application to Microsoft's WPF platform, creating version 2.0, SmithBayes came to Flow asking for help with improving the usability of the application.
Over an intense four-week period, I conducted an expert review of this complex application based upon two overlapping sets of established usability heuristics, and then wifreframed a new interaction design addressing the raft of issues that were identified.
A challenging, complex and hugely enjoyable project, with intelligent, interested clients: a great combination all round.
