In spring of 2006 Interface asked me to take charge of the sustainable sampling provision (SSP) project. An initiative of central marketing within Interface, this project built upon a three year modernisation programme within Inetrface that encompassed web, ecommerce, brand, visual identity, product and internal process.
The goals of the SSP project were to increase competitor differentiation in terms of the marketing collateral associated with sampling, as well as increasing the sustainability of the sampling process as a whole, whilst also bringing down its costs.
Along with Amo Bassan, the project originated the idea of the "Interface Box" as an alterntive to traditional sample library solutions, along with a raft of process, deployment, organisational, attitudinal and other collateral ideas in the context of a new, more sustainable approach to sampling.
The project was a great success - and continues Interface's pursuit of innovation in everything that they do. |
