After a highly successful collaboration on the 24 Hour Museum's children's portal www.show.me.uk, and following an initial request for project management expertise at pitch, Getfrank subseqently took on the challenge of designing and developing the concept of "City Guides" towards the end of 2003.
As with all Culture Online projects, Getfrank had to meet strict accessibility standards for this site, as well as the exact and demanding aesthetic requirements of the 24 Hour Museum.
Working in close collaboration with 24 Hour Museum, SSL Ltd and Culture Online Getfrank created a means of exploring ten English cities, with fascinating content created by ordinary people throughout the country, telling their interesting tales of where they live. Judicious use of personas to guide the design process, coupled with extensive user testing throughout the prooess ensured that the final site emerged fit and toned from detailed user feedback.
The City Heritage Guides are now live at www.24hourmuseum.org.uk/cityheritage. |
